Yesterday’s walk was after a few days heavy rain so I stuck to the tarmac. I had hoped to explore the ridge of the mountain behind the Travellers Rest – you can see the little diversion – but the combination of mud and a rather dubious looking “private sign” put me off. I need to do more research about the footpaths there when it is dryer.
